  • Saratoga County: The Official Online Guide—the vacation planner provides lists of accommodations, restaurants, shopping areas, arts & crafts galleries, antique shops, and sightseeing and recreational activities.
  • Saratoga Convention & Tourism Bureau—From the home page, you can choose "Saratoga, a Great American Place" to read about the city, find out about its attractions, check maps and weather, and find links to other city organizations and a calendar of events.
  • Great American Main Street Awards—Saratoga Springs was a 1996 winner of this award that recognizes historic preservation efforts and revitalization efforts of traditional downtown neighborhoods.

  • Hattie’s has been serving Southern and Louisiana cuisine in Saratoga Springs since 1938. The choice for a catered lunch for the Annual Conference, the website provides interesting news and history of this landmark restaurant.

Music, Dance, and Performing Arts in Saratoga Springs
  • Caffè Lena is America's oldest continously operating folk music venue, and the planned site for an evening of entertainment for attendees of the Annual Fall Conference this year. The extensive web site provides directions, a calendar, history, and comments from past performers.
  • Saratoga contradances are presented regularly by the Hudson-Mohawk Traditional Dances of Saratoga. More links about contradancing and other dance activities and festivals can be found at the Hudson-Mohawk Traditional Dances site.
  • Saratoga Performing Arts Center hosts the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as many special events and music festivals.
  • Saratoga International Theater Institute was founded in 1992 by Anne Bogart and Tadashi Suzuki to revitalize contemporary theater in the U.S. through international cultural exchange and collaboration.
  • The National Museum of Dance is the only museum in the country devoted exclusively to American dance.


History and Historical Sites

  • The Battle of Saratoga describes the annual re-enactment, as well as reporting on the history of this decisive battle, and links to other relevant sites about the battle.
  • View an original map of field positions of General Burgoyne's Army and the American army on October 10, 1777.
  • The Friends of Saratoga Battlefield is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and enlightening the public about the Battles of Saratoga.
  • The Saratoga National Historical Park is an "outdoor museum" of the battlefield, with many special programs and lectures offered throughout the year.
  • Brookside is the home of the Saratoga County Historical Society. Built in 1792, it is one of the oldest buildings in the Village of Ballston Spa. Local legend has it that James Fennimore Cooper wrote The Last of the Mohicans while staying at Brookside.
  • The Saratoga Room at the Saratoga Public Library houses the local history collection.
  • The Yaddo Garden Association is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the gardens at Yaddo, a 400-acre estate of New York City financier and philanthropist Spencer Trask and his wife Katrina.
