The morning portion of the Art of Community Workshop included presentations by model arts projects. The first is a presentation on the Karen weaving micro-enterprise project of the Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees, Utica, NY (first photo), followed by the The Sewing Circle Project of The Institute for Community Research’s Connecticut Cultural Heritage Arts Program. The afternoon included opportunities for artists to present their work in an informal setting, and to speak about difficulties which are encountered in America.
