Leap Year day, February 29
We’ll be snuggled in at an old Irish bar on Manhattan’s west side from 5-7:30 p.m.

Girls will be chasing boys and boys will be chasing girls—for money! We’ll sing Leap Year Blues*, too. A chance to see old friends, make some new ones and toast the New York Folklore Society. Let’s put the social back into Society, have some fun, and raise some mon(ey). See you there!

I’m glad this is Leap Year
Now you've got to love Big Bill somehow
You’ve been spending my money women,
oh lord, got to get even somehow
This is leap year woman
Women got to take care of the men
You have to bring me your check
And sign your name
Just like I treated you woman
You’ve got to treat me the same
I’m glad this now

Now you’ve got to love Big Bill somehow
You’ve been spending my money women,
Oh lord, got to get even somehow
You have to pay the rent
and pay the grocery bill
I will wear the nation sack
Tie it around my waste
You have to do what I said
And I mean make haste
If you don’t now woman
Somebody gonna take your place
Is it leap year baby?
