Mark Swanberry
Mark Swanberry of West Fulton, Schoharie County, has been carving stone for over seventeen years. Self-taught, Mark began his career as a stone mason by building dry walls and learning the principles of construction through trial and error and observation. It was only after learning to carve stone that Mark discovered that his great-grandfather had also been a stone mason and had crafted the stone retaining wall on Middleburghs River Street.
